Welcome Brenda Boggs, C-RNP
Brenda is now a nurse practitioner at New Day Vitality Hormone Center. She is a warm and exceptionally qualified Family Nurse Practitioner with over thirty years of experience in healthcare.
Brendareceivedher bachelor’s degree in nursing at University of Maryland and a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Bowie State University. For 18 years, Brenda served as the medical director of Occupational Health Servicesat Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
“I can’t believe the difference restoring my hormones has made in my life,” says Brenda. She had suffered 30 years with fibromyalgia and just two weeks into hormone therapy noticed less pain. “For the first time in years, I can’t keep my hands off my husband.”
Brenda also has earned three nursing-related specialty certifications: as a Family Nurse Practitioner, a Workers’ Compensation Case Manager, and a HIV counselor. She is a member of the American College Health Association and the Maryland Nurse Practitioner Association.
At Stevenson University for the last four years, Brenda was a primary care provider for students. She also supervised, trained, and mentored thirty employee-students to function as peer educators andprovided many student-educational workshops.
Outside of work, Brenda enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years, their 15-year-old daughter, and of course, the family dog. Her favorite family activities are watching movies, hiking, swimming, camping, and golfing. Brenda also really enjoys reading, yoga, and meditation.
For the last several months, Brenda has been working part time as an Opioid Treatment Provider at a medicine-assisted clinic (MAT) in Baltimore. “It’s so fulfilling and rewarding to knowI’m helping patients restore their health and turn their lives around.”
